Our fire department is staffed 100% by volunteers from in and around our area.  We serve a community of approximately 700+ residents, in a 1.28 square mile area, as well as assist our fellow emergency service organizations in the surrounding areas.  Our Department was founded in 1958 by and for the residents of Nuangola Borough, Pennsylvania.  Beside responding to fires, we also respond to auto accidents, rescue operations, assisting the nearby Ambulance Associations, other non-fire related emergencies, and help out with local civic functions.  We are also part of the Emergency Management System for the nearby PP&L Nuclear Power Station in Berwick, PA; in which we coordinate with the Local Government and the County Emergency Operations Center in the notification and/or safe evacuation of residents in the event of an emergency at the plant site, as well as in the case of other emergency situations affecting the area.  We welcome anyone from the area who would like to donate some time to help us serve and protect our community... Help us to help you!  A membership application can be obtained from any member of our department,  or by contacting us directly (Click on the Email/Contact link at the top of this screen for contact info).
